what is your name Serizawa Katsuya
tell me about your family My mother and father didn’t ask to have a son like me. I’ve caused them a lot of trouble through the years but they’ve been very patient with me. Really, I’m grateful for their continued support.
where do you see yourself in five years I’d like to be a member of society! I should have finished my night classes by then, so maybe I can find something else to learn more about. Maybe I’ll even have a job, although it wouldn’t be too bad to continue working for Reigen-san.
please describe an event that changed your life / shaped you as a person It’s a little sad to admit it, but up until three years ago I had been a shut in. I hadn’t left my room for 15 years because I was afraid that I’d hurt people with my powers. But then one day a man came to me and offered me a job and a chance to return to the outside world. Although his ideas were wrong…and he tried to take over the world…and he was only using me the whole time, I don’t think that I would have left my room after all those years if it weren’t for him.
do you have any regrets? It’s unfortunate to admit but I’ve been told that it’s easy for people to manipulate me because I don’t have a lot of self-confidence. Under my previous employer, I think I may have caused a lot of people to suffer…
when you look into the sun and realize that the light from it is from a far away star hurtling through the cold vastness of space and compared to that you're an insignificant speck of dust to the cosmos much less greater powers that may have shaped our reality, how do you feel? Do people actually think about the universe that way? Isn’t it dangerous to stare into the sun?! Either way, I suppose I am insignificant, so it doesn’t really make a difference in how I think.
